Petzz Life story started before we thought such company could exist.

    As many expat women who come abroad to follow their partners, with me it wasn’t different. I came to The Netherlands to follow my husband dreams, I was with many doubts and insecurities inside the luggage.

    After arriving in Amsterdam, I discovered a new world with many possibilities (such a great thing you would think) but I didn't see how to fit in. At that time, my English was horrible. I had never had a real necessity to learn English living in Brazil and at school it was the worst subject for me, and when I arrived in Amsterdam I discovered that I needed to learn English and Dutch.

    I remember looking through the window and thinking:  “What hell is going on with my life?!”. It was a dark age, but I didn’t fall to the dark side, guys. I had depression and I had to ask for help. After many moths doing treatment and my English improving, I started an embryonic life in Amsterdam. I made some new friends and it made me feel a little bit more comfortable to live in Amsterdam. Back then, I still hated the recurring rain, but who doesn’t? As my English improved, I started to have more friends in Amsterdam and started to build my support network. It was from one of them that the idea of me being a pet sitter came from.

    At that time I needed to support my parents with money, but I didn’t want to spend my time working at a shop or restaurant. Studying English was my priority. My friend said: “…as you really like animals you could work as a pet sitter”. She motivated me and she was my first customer. I remember feeling excited with this opportunity and scared at the same time, because I had never taken care of a cat that wasn’t mine. That friend motivated me and made everything look easy. After that, I decided to create my profile on a pet sitter platform. It took some time for things start working, but it happened.

    After one year working on that platform and others as well, I was thinking that it could be good if I shared my routine as a pet sitter in a social media, because it would enhance my work and show to my customers how I work. That’s how in January 2020 I created Petzz Life. Since then until now, Petzz Life have been growing and have been attending many customers in Amsterdam. The company grew up and now we have our own registered company and many dreams to achieve.

    Who would have thought that girl who never had plans to move abroad would now be here running a company, huh!? I am proud of everything I’ve built and I’m grateful for having my family and friends by my side. From client to client, I have taken care of many pets and I have gained a lot of experience in pet care.
